Apollo Art Gallery was founded in 1978 as the first renowned gallery in the Apollo Building, recognized for its long-standing history and vibrant activities. Director Chang Chin-Hsing, with a professional background in fine arts, has been dedicated to promoting art and culture throughout his career. In 1992, he was elected the first Chairman of the Taiwan Art Gallery Association and initiated the inaugural Taipei Art Fair, contributing greatly to the development of Taiwan’s art market.
Specializing in Taiwanese artists’ oil painting, watercolor, sculpture, and ceramics, Apollo Art Gallery has curated over 300 exhibitions. The gallery is committed to honoring senior artists’ contributions to Taiwan’s art history while also nurturing emerging talent. Many mid-career and younger-generation artists active today in Taiwan and abroad held their first solo exhibitions here, marking the beginning of their artistic journeys.
