Ray tracing in the software allows virtual light to be stretched and simulated in reality. Virtual light moves like a ball, bouncing off obstacles. As the ball's bounce tires, the light grows fainter. This can be seen as a dotted spread, a tree in daylight, nighttime lights, the neon tubes of an electronic float, and so on. Drawing on my experience as an animator, I've experienced the rendering process after completing a 3D model, watching the edited objects transform through lighting, texturing, and finally calculation. This computational process has influenced my way of seeing. My experience with virtual construction has made me view the world as if through an anatomical lens, deconstructing the surface to gradually reveal the truth. In an age of virtual images where it's difficult to distinguish between truth and falsehood, I use this kind of perspective to respond to the possibilities of surface shaping. What else can we see in the scene before our eyes?
