Contemporary artist Kamakiriko, who challenges the reconstruction of bijinga (traditional
Japanese paintings of beautiful women), depicts human vitality through feminine imagery
while exploring themes of anonymity in modern society.
She began her artistic career in 2021 and has garnered attention by exhibiting at numerous art
fairs both domestically and internationally, including Taiwan and Busan, in just two years.
In August 2023, she participated in a group exhibition alongside Yayoi Kusama and others at
Artglorieux GALLERY OF TOKYO, operated by Daimaru Matsuzakaya inside GINZA SIX.
That same month, all seven works from her solo exhibition "Do Girls Dream of Electric City?"
held at 9s Gallery sold out before the exhibition period began. In December of the same year,
two works sold out at the group exhibition "Christmas Miracle.
" In January 2024, all nine works
from her solo exhibition "27" sold out, and in April, all four works from the group exhibition
"Spring Brings You Together" sold out. Furthermore, all 15 works from her August solo
exhibition "Kirikogram - #StillTheResistance" sold out, continuing her remarkable success.
All seven works from her February 2025 solo exhibition "KAIJU - Awakening -
" also sold out,
with expectations for her in the contemporary art scene continuing to rise.
