Depiction:
Stage curtains and theatrical frames often appear in my paintings,
because I see the world as a meticulously constructed stage,
where each of us takes on a role, filling the scene with our own presence.
After moving from Seoul to a quiet lakeside area surrounded by preserved nature,
I began to view every landscape as a narrative image.
At night, the sound of insects feels like an orchestra conducted by the wetlands—
slightly uncomfortable, yet strangely grounding, as if reminding me that I am alive on this planet.
If not for the mosquitos,
I would probably sit quietly in the middle of the marsh like Mu,
listening to the earth breathe through the sound of crickets.
