I recently learned that many people have the quiet hobby of observing wild birds.
In this world, there are indeed those who treat hunting as entertainment, taking life for amusement.
But at the same time, there exists another group—people who choose only to watch, not to take, not to interfere—who simply stand still and observe with a kind of understated elegance.
This coexistence fascinates me deeply.
They may believe they are the ones searching for birds, but I like to imagine that perhaps the birds are actually the ones who spot them first.
In the same way, within my own worldbuilding, before Mu (문) ever began searching for Rubber Duck, perhaps Rubber Duck had already been quietly observing him from somewhere in the background.
All beings truly come into existence at the moment they acknowledge each other through mutual gaze.
This work is a contemplation on that very relationship—between the watcher and the one being watched.
