In this work, Jos van Merendonk continues his signature green motif, developed since the 1980s. Layers of strokes interweave into abstract yet organic structures, evoking the density of foliage or the rhythm of an invented script—endlessly varied, never repeated. The white fragments act as pauses of breath, guiding the viewer through a play between intensity and emptiness. The canvas becomes a site of perpetual generation, reminding us that within the strictest limitations, infinite freedom can still emerge.
