Depiction:
We are always drawn to a “distant elsewhere,” whether geographical or spiritual. Its ambiguity and boundlessness are what captivate us, for in its unattainable nature we place endless hopes and imaginations.
This work depicts an imagined faraway land. Through a reverse-perspective composition, the mountains and cascading clouds are exaggerated in scale, mirroring how we often cloak the unreachable in layers of idealized fantasy. Yet it is precisely such beautiful illusions that sustain us and propel us forward.
