The Greatness in Small Things

황세나는 개인적인 감정을 가장 순수하게 표현하는 현대 예술가 중 한 명입니다. 처음에 그녀는 예술가의 꿈을 위해 그림을 그리기 시작했지만, 내면의 불안과 무언의 감정 때문에 한때는 창작을 계속할 수 없었습니다. 지난 6년 동안 그녀는 예술가의 길을 버리고 다른 삶의 방식을 선택했으며, 자신을 포기하는 성장의 한 형태를 경험했습니다. 이제 그녀는 다시 한 번 이젤 앞에 서서 완전히 다른 예술가로 변신했습니다.   한때 '굿 걸 신드롬'에 갇혀 있던 그녀는 콩테 크레용만을 사용해 밀도 높은 예술 세계를 만들어 과거의 자신에게 작별을 고합니다. 의인화된 동물, 서로의 눈을 응시하는 쌍둥이, 또는 자신을 포용하는 인물 등 그녀가 그리는 모든 작품은 자신의 모습을 반영합니다. 그녀는 자신의 예술에서 내면을 마주하며 불타는 숲 속의 토끼와 같은 인물로 묘사하며 복잡한 감정의 층위를 드러냅니다.   Through Hwang Sena’s art, we gain insight into the essence of a person’s journey in search of self-meaning. Using allegorical expressions, she conveys a deep understanding of life’s significance and hope. As her inner world changes, so does her artistic style, serving as the most genuine portrayal of her evolving self.   Hwang Sena’s solo exhibition in January 2024 marks her first solo show in her artistic career. This courageous artist has faced her inner fears head-on, truthfully expressing the scars of her wounds through her art. All the works from this exhibition have been sold out, and she is steadily growing into a highly anticipated artist with her distinctive artistic language.
