Depiction:
This exhibition presents key series from recent years, showing my ongoing interest in the tension between factory-style production and studio-style making. The works respond to my own experience in ceramic craft while exploring the playful balance between repetition and uniqueness. Since 2022, I have focused on sanitary ware—sinks, pipes, basins, and toilet bowls removed from their original context.
Rather than how these objects are used, I am interested in why they are shaped this way. These universal forms, common in modern life and unique to human civilization, inspire me to develop a sculptural vocabulary that reflects contemporary society, social change, and the pursuit of efficiency, while leaving space for viewers’ own interpretations.
