Depiction:
Color Chart is a series that applies the dot expression of screen tones to reconstruct color charts as contemporary Ukiyo-e.
By applying the method of creating intermediate colors in black-and-white manga and through the composition of Japanese traditional patterns, complex colors and visual effects are generated from limited color combinations.
At the same time, the manual layering of silkscreen printing produces bleeding and unevenness, creating a body of work that questions the location of "aura" that oscillates between mass production and one-of-a-kind pieces.
