"Woven Memories" is a series of works by Huang Chih-Cheng, unveiled in 2024. Its artistic vocabulary can be traced back to the 2016 series "Eroded Memories", and viewers can intuitively perceive the visual connections between the two.
As time flows and evolves, Woven Memories not only exhibits greater refinement in technique but also reflects a significant shift in Huang Chih-Cheng’s mindset. While the earlier works grappled with the inevitable fading and transformation of memories—learning to accept loss with a sense of melancholy—this new series takes a different approach. Now, fragments of time are effortlessly gathered and interwoven, forming a narrative that transcends linear temporality, presenting memory in an entirely new light.
