**Yoshio Nitta**

**Education**:
- 1992, Graduated with a degree in Sculpture from Kyoto City University of Arts
- 1994, Completed a Master’s degree in Sculpture at the Graduate School of Kyoto City University of Arts
Yoshio Nitta was born in 1969 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. He studied sculpture at Kyoto City University of Arts, where he graduated in 1994. Before this, he also studied Japanese painting under Japanese artist Shingo Hoshino. Nitta has held solo exhibitions in various locations across Japan, including Osaka City, and participated in several group exhibitions in countries such as Australia, Denmark, South Korea, and the UAE.
Since 2005, he has regularly participated in the "Sculpture by the Sea" exhibition and exhibited in 2009 at "Sculpture by the Sea" in Aarhus, Denmark. In 2009, he completed an artist residency program in South Korea.
Nitta’s works have been collected by both private and public institutions worldwide, including the Cottesloe Town Sculpture Collection in Australia.
Regarding his creative process, Nitta once dreamt of placing the moon on a table to observe it up close and imagine the possibility of someone living there.
