gallery UG

Established in 2001 in Ginza, Tokyo, gallery UG has been dedicated to supporting its exclusive artists and developing unique projects rooted in its distinctive values.

In 2011, the gallery relocated to Nihonbashi Bakurocho, and in September 2020, we opened our flagship space on the second floor of TERRADA ART COMPLEX II in Tennoz. This dynamic venue hosts solo and special exhibitions throughout the year, fostering engagement with contemporary art.

In February 2024, we opened gallery UG Osaka Umeda, our first location in the Kansai region, on the 11th floor of the Daimaru Umeda store. Later, in September 2024, we launched an additional space on the 3rd floor of TERRADA ART COMPLEX II in Tennoz. Most recently, in August 2025, we opened gallery UG Fukuoka, located on the 5th floor of the Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin Department Store.

Beyond exhibition spaces, we also operate ateliers "Studio MOKU" and "Kobo", providing opportunities to support artists' production, nurture emerging talent, and foster artistic exchanges. Through these initiatives, we strive to enrich and expand the contemporary art scene while redefining the role of a gallery.

Our mission is to add new value to Japanese contemporary art within the broader context of art history, contributing to its ongoing evolution and global recognition.
