Depiction:
Lee In Seob visualizes the passage of time and the cyclical nature of
life, capturing traces of change through materiality and color. For
years, he has incorporated ash from burned oak charcoal into his
paint, a medium that embodies both dissolution and regeneration.
This layering of material reflects his exploration of accumulation and
transformation over time.
In Resonance of Time, bold brushstrokes and textured surfaces
traverse the canvas, while striking contrasts of yellow and blue create
a dynamic rhythm. The fluidity and absorption of paint evoke an
organic sense of time inscribed within the work, revealing a process
of continuous change and layered history.
Balancing presence and absence, creation and dissolution, this work
offers a contemplative experience of time’s resonance, leaving a
lasting impression.
