It is unclear whether the door that ought to open lies outside or within. We face that “something” which refuses to yield at once—sometimes confronting it, sometimes fleeing—while, through dim emotions and encounters with others, we gradually come upon the unknown within ourselves. I hope my work may become a presence that contemplates this ambiguous yet undeniable present, quietly standing before it as if in watchful reflection.
