On the way home with the sun

This work depicts the story of a girl who, in the early morning and feeling hopeless, encounters a cat and gradually begins to heal. If despair is like a shadowed place, then the cat leads the girl into the sunlight. The piece carries the hope that if one's perspective on life changes, despair can be left behind as merely a place in the past, and one can begin to walk forward again.
