Inu Hariko - Metallic pink & White bubbles

His work draws upon the traditional Japanese craft of Inuhariko (papier-mâché dog figures), layering it with contemporary meaning as a form of social commentary on modern Japan. He interprets Inuhariko as "a hollow form, meaningful only in appearance," and through the application of intentional and symbolic painting, He seeks to imbue it with new significance. In doing so, he aims to capture and reflect the essence of present-day Japan with a sense of irony.
