  • Depiction:
In the painting, the dragon does not appear as a literal monster but as a body assembled from multiple blocks of color, within which a human figure is embedded. This treatment suggests that the dragon is not merely an external threat but also part of the inner self.   The dragon may symbolize fear, destruction, and chaos, yet its roots often lie within the human heart rather than in some distant other. Thus, “Dragon Quest” is no longer a hero’s outward expedition but an inward journey of exploration. Through this reconfiguration of form, the work proposes that what we seek is not an enemy to be vanquished, but the shadow that dwells within ourselves.
