Born in Taipei in 1986, graduated from the Department of Sculpture at National Taiwan University of Arts. Liao has received numerous awards, including the Chi-Mei Art Award and Taiwan Fine Arts Newcomer Award. His work combines realistic oil painting with symbols of gloves and the human body, reflecting his construction-site upbringing and concern for environmental issues. By transforming everyday labor objects into art and integrating natural elements such as plants, coral, and soil growing upon the body, he quietly and humbly conveys deep metaphors of human–nature symbiosis.
