Artist WU Tung-Lung was born in 1976 in Taipei. He graduated in 2004 from the Graduate Institute of Plastic Arts at the Tainan National University of the Arts and is currently a full-time artist. Over the years, he has dedicated himself to the observation of contemporary art and the creation of abstract art, establishing a distinct personal style through his minimalist and grandiose painting techniques. Wu has extensive experience in exhibitions and international artist residencies, having worked at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, Artists at Glenfiddich in Scotland, ISCP in New York, and Villa Waldberta in Munich, among others. In 2017, he received the Li Zhong-Sheng Foundation Visual Arts Award. His works are part of the collections at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, as well as various corporate and private collections both domestically and internationally.
