He introduces the creational skills of Terracotta while teaching, starting a new artistic sculptural field. After many years of hard thinking, he finally conquered the difficulty & limitation of the collapsing problem in the process of soil molding, and found out the solutions for supporting and molding of the sculptures. He applies the rough characteristic of Terracotta to the molding of human body, expressing abundant affections and complicated emotions while converting the drawing concept of sketching into sculpture. Quickly and accurately grasping the lines and structures of moving human body without redundant "to and for,”he creates a unique “Yu, lian-Chun style” among the contemporary art circle. For the past few years Yu, lian-Chun has kept challenging and transcending himself. He applied different kinds of media such as stainless steel, rose silver series, silver and copper tocreate various changes in his artworks while craving for endowing sculpture with a whole new life by mixing different media. He finds out clashes between iron and Terracotta which lead to mergence, and thus createsa iron-welded dynamic art made by both hardness and softness.
