Idea CHU was born in Qingdao, Shandong Province in 1947. In the field of fine arts and design, Idea has integrated sculpture art and landscape design, and has won many awards and is internationally renowned. He has served as an adjunct professor at the National Taiwan Academy of Arts, Taichung Normal University, and Hong Kong Business College, a visiting professor at the University of Wollongong, Australia, the head of the Department of Commercial Design at Taichung Lingdong Institute of Technology, and the creative art director of Jing Design Group.
He is the first Chinese landscape designer and amusement attraction pioneer, starting from Taichung Yago Garden, Longgu Amusement Park to Kaohsiung Maolin National Scenic Area, Nanjing Ginkgo Lake Amusement Park, Australia Fo Guang Shan Nan Tian Temple, Lingyan Mountain Temple... In 1996, he defeated more than a thousand international masters and won the first prize in the creation of the landscape of the "Wuhua Tianbao" International Airport Boulevard, the spiritual landmark of Wenzhou City, China.
Having designed more than 50 national parks and resort attractions, and won many international awards, Idea has always been sticking to his original intention for design and art. In the hope of being a pure fine artist, he has continuously been back to square one and building dreams by devoting himself to art creation.
He is an outstanding international oil painter. Each of his three-dimensional "dream oil paintings" has a touching story and reflects his emotional state of mind when he was in charge of international landscape projects.
To show respect to his art works with a perfect showroom space, Idea built an art museum of his own, located in the bustling downtown Taichung city (center point of the Calligraphy Greenway). It was once his atelier and beloved Garden of Greenness, filled with the sense of Zen, and now Chu, Lu-ching Museum of Art.
