HSIEH Chia-Heng’s artistic journey began on the Iberian Peninsula, where he lived and studied ceramics in Spain. The vibrant sunlight, colorful glazes, and expressive forms he encountered there became foundational to his creative approach. HSIEH believes that only through the addition of glaze can ceramic works fully express both form and color—achieving the material’s most complete and valuable state.
In the art fair world, often dominated by two-dimensional works, HSIEH aims to craft magical, realistic spaces through his uniquely themed ceramic sculptures and vibrant glaze techniques. His work not only conveys his creative philosophy but also showcases the innovative methods and diverse expressions of contemporary Taiwanese ceramics to a broader audience.
