CY Wang Born in Taiwan and now based in Hong Kong, CY Wang showed artistic talent from a young age, working across photography, installation and painting. His work blends pop culture, history and find art, reflecting his identity as part of the “Manga” generation.
He gained recognition at Takashi Murakami’s GEISAI Taiwan (2009), winning the Seiichi Kamei Personal Award, followed by a golden prize in 2020.
His iconic “Rainbow Babies” series emerged during the pandemic, inspired by his two children. The protagonists, Haha and Hoho, are alien siblings from a “Rainbow Planet” who land on Earth to explore, love and share joy. Their rainbow eyes symbolize hope and connection to childhood memories.
