Lin Chun-Pin was born in 1981 in Changhua, Taiwan.
He entered the Sculpture Department of National Taiwan University of Arts with excellent performance. He has been invited to exhibit in Paris, Osaka, Seoul, Shanghai, and major cities across Taiwan. In 2015, the artist’s works were invited to be shown at the Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei. Lin employs Gundam model parts (materials characteristic of his era) to craft a dialogue with the ink works of renowned Song Dynasty ink paintings, forming his own cultural system. Through the meticulous layering and juxtaposition of these model components, Lin manipulates dimensions of space, subtly reflecting the logic of industrial mass production and standardization, as well as contemporary consumption trends and popular taste. Within the constraints of pre-defined boundaries, he explores the potential for reinterpreting existing frameworks.
