Renowned for his masterful realism, Lo Chan Peng has been active on the international art scene since his student years, when he won multiple first prizes in Taiwan’s major national art competitions. At the age of 27, he was recognized by Professor Hsiao Chong-Ray and included in A History of Taiwanese Art.
Lo has undertaken artist residencies in the United States and Germany, and his exhibitions span Europe, America, and Asia. His works are collected by art museums, religious and cultural institutions, and private collectors worldwide.
In 2020, he received major international recognition from the Portrait Society of America, followed in 2021 by multiple awards from the Art Renewal Center (ARC)—the world’s foremost realist art competition—including the Purchase Award, an Honor Award in Portraiture, and the People’s Choice Award. In 2022, Lo became the first Taiwanese artist collected by Japan’s Hoki Museum (ホキ美術館), which acquired another of his works in 2023. That same year, he won the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize Grand Award, the top honor across all media categories.
In 2025, Lo began residing in Los Angeles under the U.S. “Extraordinary Ability” (O-1) visa, continuing to contribute to the global recognition of Taiwanese art while persistently pushing the boundaries of his technique and inner exploration.
