Born in Tieling, Liaoning Province, he has loved painting since childhood and graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in 1984. He has been engaged in oil painting for many years. In the 1990s,he went to Tibet for field research and was moved by the local conditions and customs, the simple folk customs and the pious charm of religion. He started with a realistic painting approach and mostly selected objects with ethnic characteristics. The works themselves are derived from life, but through painting they areelevated to a higher level and realm than life, such as the "Shepherdess" series. Many of his works are collected by people at home and abroad. Karol is an admirer of women and works in stunning forms that are compelling. In order to truly reveal the soul of women, Carol examines the deepest essence of women invidious ways.
