Sometimes, during the creative process, I need to wait for the paint to dry, so I take a break by scrolling through my phone. One day, I came across a photo on social media of a seal lazily basking in the sun. I was deeply healed by its serene presence and hoped to bring that same soothing energy into my artwork.
It also served as a reminder that not everything needs to be forced into perfection, and that unexpected outcomes don’t have to feel like the end of the world. I imagine myself like these animals—embracing moments of relaxation and self-healing.
