Violet

Li Suhua's artwork, titled Violet, is created using both brush and palette knife to outline its lines. The piece symbolizes the Greek myth of Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, who, longing for her lover who had traveled far away, shed crystal-clear tears. As these tears fell into the soil, they sprouted and grew into an elegant, fragrant flower the following spring. Later generations named this flower violet, and its floral meaning is eternal love.
