George CHO

George Cho born in 1980 and currently residing in Banqiao, Taiwan, has traversed a diverse and dynamic path in the world of art. After graduating from the Fine Arts at Chinese Culture University in 2007, George embarked on a trajectory that led through the realms of children’s animation art design and commercial graphic editing. Notably, their creative prowess left its mark on projects such as Public Television Service’s ” After-School Flower Rice ” and ” The Extraordinary Voyage of Ancient Officials,” as well as contributions to Eastern Broadcasting’s YoYo TV and the iconic brand Qiaolezhi.

In 2020, George made a significant transition to focus on his own artistic creations. His approach is a harmonious fusion of representational painting and symbolic imagery. Through his art, he adeptly expresses his personal experiences and contemplations, inviting viewers to explore the depths of his thoughts.

One notable series in his portfolio is the “Somewhere In Time”. This series delves into the phenomenon of the uncanny feeling of having experienced something before, even when encountering it for the first time. Drawing inspiration from childhood memories of 3D stickers and the evanescent nature of images from the past, George seeks to capture the intricate workings of human cognition on paper. By skillfully intertwining recognizable elements with abstract symbols, he invites the audience to join him on a journey through memory, recognition, and the fluid interplay of visual perception.
