Ding GAO

Currently studying for a master's degree in calligraphy and painting at the National Taiwan University of Arts. He is good at creating black and white ink paintings. Because he yearns for nature, he often associates with mountains and rivers. When he gets along with mountains, waterfalls, and nature, he feels the magnificence of all things, and also learns from the landscape. Get the true meaning of life. Painting the real scenes seen through the eyes is what Couture is good at, hoping that viewers can calm their hearts and express themselves when seeing the magnificent wonders of nature.

Since he started climbing in 2020, he used ink, mulberry paper and Kochi hemp paper to represent the sharp and exposed mountain rocks in Taiwan's high mountains. Repeatedly stacked brushstrokes represent the continuous alpine arrow bamboo grassland. Using personal sensory experience to describe a feeling of constant communication between people's inner landscapes creates a co-constructive relationship between the depiction of mountain landscapes and one's own life.
