Born in 1979 in Pingtung, Taiwan, Chou Chuan Chih graduated from the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Russia, specializing in painting restoration, particularly oil and tempera restoration, as well as painting techniques and materials. During his studies, he worked on over ten museum-grade restoration projects, including collections from the Kazan Cathedral in St. Petersburg, Pavlovsk Museum, Pushkin Museum, and the Museum of Religion in St. Petersburg.
Incorporating scientific restoration techniques into his creative process, Chou’s works exhibit meticulous realism, skillfully capturing the intricate textures and tactile qualities of objects. His art carries a profound Renaissance classical aesthetic, blending technical precision with timeless elegance.
