Yang Jia-Rong's works focus on emotion as the central theme, depicting the interaction between a man and a woman and the emotional expressions in different contexts. The scenes are mostly presented from a third-person perspective, with unsaid implications reflected through spatial forms, evocative objects, and narrative techniques, highlighting the inexpressible feelings and emotions within relationships. The creative process begins in everyday personal life while also tapping into collective emotional experiences; through each painting, the vague impressions of emotion are reshaped into new contours.
